موضوعات مورد بررسی قرار گرفته در این تحقیق شامل موارد زیر می باشند:
a. Evaluation the inhibition of the monophenolase activity (tyrosine) and diphenolase activity (DOPA) of mushroom tyrosinase by plant extracts. (Tyrosinase enzyme assay)
b. Investigate the cytotoxic effect of potent plant extract on melanocyte cells. (Toxicity and effect of plant extracts on melanin synthesis in vitro)
c. Investigate the best plant extract for its ability to inhibit melanin production by melanocyte cells. (Melanocyte cell culture for the investigation of melanin inhibition by plant extracts).
9. پایان نامه دوره کارشناسی ارشد با عنوان
"Plant derived multifunctional actives for skin lightening from C. siliqua and S. inerme" (1386).
موضوعات مورد بررسی قرار گرفته در این تحقیق شامل موارد زیر می باشند:
a. Identification of the traditional South African plants for Melasma treatment.
b. Evaluation of anti-tyrosine activity of plant extracts.
c. Testing plant extracts which has maximum anti-tyrosinase activity for their inhibition of melanin production and cytotoxicity.
d. Isolation and purification of active compounds from the best extracts. Eight pure compounds could be isolated from two extracts which one of them is new (its structure is known but it has been never tested for its anti-tyrosinase or DOPA activity before).
e. Anti-oxidant activity and Radical scavenging capacity of extracts and pure compounds were evaluated.
f. Quantitative Real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis was done to investigate the expression of related pigmentation genes in samples-treated mouse epidermal melanocyte cells.
g. Kinetic parameter of the effect of the plant extract which has maximum anti-tyrosinase activity has been investigated.

A mechanistically evaluation of anticancer activities of Hyaenanche globosa & Maytenus procumbens
The main themes of my research work were to access the cytotoxicity of these plants and their main component toward cancer cells inhibition and their relevance mechanisms of action. Besides their other biological activities were investigated.

a. Preparation of plant material, isolation and identification of compounds
b. Cell culture, MTT cytotoxicity assay
c. Cancer cell research
d. Assessment of DNA damage induced by the isolated compounds via apoptosis or necrosis (Annexin V-FITC affinity assay, flow cytometry assay, single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE)/comet)
e. Assessment of the antioxidant/pro-oxidant activity of plant extract and the isolated compounds extracellular by (DPPH antioxidant assay), and intracellular (in cultured cells); ferric reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP), thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), and measurement of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) assays
f. Assessment of the antibacterial/fungal activities of plant extracts and the isolated compounds (agar-diffusion bioassay)
